We also don’t know when the new devices are going to arrive, and all that’s been said so far is that they are targeted for a 2016 release, but that’s about all of the information that we have at the moment.
Apple themselves have been staying typically quiet and the company doesn’t seem to have any intentions to speak up about their developments anytime soon, so we don’t expect them to come out with any information about their work on the new iPhone and its possible variants until they are actually ready to drop their promotional pieces.
If they maintain their previous trends, we expect to see a new announcement in several months, followed closely by the actual release of the devices on the market.
Apple like to keep their releases close to the announcements that precede them, so it would make sense if they did it like that now too. But they might also have some other plans this time around, and it’s possible that the company might want to change their approach to marketing if they are also diversifying the range of their devices like that. Of course, that’s all just a rumor right now and we won’t know for sure until we’ve waited some time and the company comes out with an official statement.
