Apple are supposedly working quite hard on their mobile line right now, as the company is rumored to be preparing not one but several releases for 2016, and they could be trying to broaden their reach by trying out new things on the market. We don’t know if the rumors are true or not, but they have been repeated a few times already, and it’s starting to seem like Apple really do want to get the broadest market presence they are capable of.
One of the things that the company is rumored to be working on is another small iPhone, something which was met with some mixed reactions the last time the company did it. People seem to have a strange attitude towards the idea of a mini iPhone, and while Apple have been able to enjoy some success with the concept on certain markets, it wasn’t so universally well received and some people were disappointed with the small-sized iPhone variant.
Because of this, we aren’t too sure if the rumors about a new device in the same style could be true, but we certainly wouldn’t put it past Apple to be trying to revive a trend that they couldn’t get right the first time. The company is quite persistent and they know how to keep pushing the market until they get what they want, and if they have refined the idea of the smaller iPhone, we can definitely see it working out better.
Other than that, Apple are rumored to be releasing a total of three phones in 2017, and the iPhone 7 may not be the spotlight of the show this time either. Apple have been generally playing with their strategy on the market and they’ve been experimenting with some new ideas lately, trying to find out what works with their fans and how they can get better results, and they seem to be making progress.
A small-sized iPhone was actually supposed to arrive this year, but that didn’t happen, and many fans were wondering if Apple had given up on the idea after the reception of the iPhone 5S. Just because the phone wasn’t as popular as other devices by the company doesn’t mean that they should completely abandon the idea so quickly though, and there is probably still potential in there that can be utilized, Apple just have to do that properly.
On the other hand, Apple could also be looking into giving something nice to their fans who are after a more regular-sized phone, closer to the standard designs of the iPhone line. The other two devices that will accompany the smaller new iPhone are reportedly the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and if this is true, it would mean that Apple are trying to effectively capture all parts of the market equally well and they want to have some presence on all sides, not just the mainstream luxury niche that they have been occupying until now.
One thing that’s rumored to be getting improved in the new iPhones is the camera, as Apple have apparently come up with even better solutions for the imaging capabilities of the phones, and they want to give their fans much more impressive pocket shooting capabilities. It’s interesting to note that Apple have typically been improving the post-processing of their cameras more than the actual hardware, so it would be interesting to see if they’ve come up with something more interesting in this regard now.
