In terms of power under the hood, the iPhone 7 is being powered by a new Apple A10 Fusion processor which has a 64-bit quad-core CPU. It is 40% faster than the A9 processor used by the Apple iPhone 6S and double the speed of the A8 processors.
The graphics of the A10 Fusion is also 40% more powerful than the A9.
The cameras on both the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus have been improved as well to enhance low-light capabilities and take even sharper photos.
The iPhone 7 has an f/1.8 lens than lets 50% more light onto the lens, and a new 12-MP sensor that is 60% faster and 30% more energy efficient.
The iPhone 7 Plus, on the other hand, has a dual-lens camera which allows a huge increase in quality when zooming in on a photo. It has two 12-MP cameras, one of which is a wide angle lens and the other a telephoto lens that can zoom 2X in high quality without using any software. The telephoto lens means that the camera can zoom to 10X with optical and soft zoom.
Apple has made pre-order for the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus available starting September 9 and shipping will begin on September 16.
In terms of price, the 32GB base model of the iPhone 7 will be retailed for US$800 while the 32GB base model of the iPhone 7 Plus is to be priced at US$960.
