The next step for the Apple iPhone 5c would be an upgraded model called the Apple iPhone 6c, so that is good news. The main reason that the smartphone was cheaper is that it was made from plastic, compared to the all metal design of the original models. That cuts the cost of the phone significantly.
The iPhone 5c first arrived back in 2013 and it offered many of the same specs as the original model, with a slightly different exterior look. Speculation is pointing to the fact that the iPhone 6c could come with features like Touch ID, Apple Pay and upgraded hardware including the A8 processor.
The Apple iPhone 6c is likely to keep the 4-inch touch screen display, another reason the cost is a bit lower and will come in a few color options to choose from. With an all plastic body, it is easier to offer more color options, much like the company did with the iPhone 5c.
