Apple iPhone 5s Missing Apple Pay, Gets Compatibility With Apple Watch!

If you have been following the technology news lately, you are likely to be reading about Apple and the fact that the company launched Apple Pay and has one of the most anticipated smartwatches coming out any day now. The two newest models of the iPhone are already making payments via Apple Pay, but those that have the Apple iPhone 5s, are stuck in the dark, for now. Apple announced the new payment system a few months ago and have since been looking forward to the release of the new Apple Watch in April.

Apple does a great job of making consumers upgrade to the latest model of Apple anything, but this time around, there might be a workaround. That workaround is going to cost you a little bit of money, but according to one online source, you will be able to make Apple Pay purchases with the Apple Watch if you have the Apple iPhone 5s. The new smartwatch is expected to be released in April of this year and along with it will come the iOS 8.2 software update.

The number of stores that offers the Apple Pay system is growing so it will only be a matter of time before upgrading to use the Apple Pay system is a must. If you have the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, then you are already looking into the Apple Pay feature. If you did not upgrade, or might be waiting around for the iPhone 7, then you are going to have to wait to see if Apple extends support to that device in the near future.

As of right now, the Apple iPhone 5s does not have the support for Apple Pay, but you will be able to communicate with your Apple Watch paired to the device. It will be from the watch that you can make payments with Apple Pay at that time. The Apple Watch is going to add a certain value to the older devices like the Apple iPhone 5s.

According to one source, you will be able to pair the Apple Watch up to the Apple iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c and the iPhone 5. From that point, you will be able to make purchases at retailers that support the feature. If you see the Apple Pay logo at the business, you are in the clear. That list seems to be growing each month as retailers are trying to find ways to accommodate all customers and payment options. The Apple iPhone 5s paired with Apple Watch for Apple Pay will only work in stores, whereas the new models can also make Apple Pay purchases in apps and stores.
