Apple iPhone 5C vs Motorola Moto G2: Entry Level Moto versus a mid-range Apple!

The Apple iPhone 5C has a toned-down hardware compared to the Apple iPhone 5S. More than that, benchmark tests have confirmed that it is also a tad slower than the old iPhone 5. As a result, this is the perfect phone to be compared with the entry-level Motorola Moto G2 from a different price bracket. Take a look at their features below.

Apple iPhone 5C:

Available in many quirky colors, it weighs 132g and supports a Nano-SIM. It has an LED-backlit IPS LCD, capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. It features a screen size of 4.0 inches with a display resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels and an impressive pixel density of 326ppi. The device does not come with an expandable memory slot.

It comes in 8/16/32 GB variants, all running on the same 1GB RAM. It has an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and an LED flash, supporting a maximum photo resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. Other features include a 1/3.2” sensor size, a 1.4 µm pixel size and simultaneous image and HD video recording. The device supports all other basic features like geo-tagging, smile detection and HDR.

The rear shooter can record full HD 1080p videos while the 1.2 MP front camera supports 720p. It was released with iOS 7 but can now be upgraded to the latest iOS 8.1. The device has a pixel density of 294ppi, significantly lower than the iPhone 5C. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and supports multi-touch input.

The device is available in 8/16GB variants and runs on 1GB of RAM. Unlike the iPhone, you can upgrade this with a micro SD Card. It has an 8MP primary shooter, which supports a maximum image resolution of 3264 x 2448, same as the 5C. It has an inferior lens aperture but comes with LED Flash and autofocus. The other basic features like Geo-tagging, face-detection, panorama and HDR are included as well.

Although, it has the same 8MP camera, it can record videos at a lower resolution of 720p. It has a secondary 2MP front camera.
