Therefore, the entire lineup received a refresh not too long ago. Ming-Chi Kuo, the analyst with KGI firm, has estimated that Apple will launch three new iPads in the early months of 2017. There will be three different sizes available, a 10.5inch, a 12.9inch and a 9.7inch.
On August, Chi-Kuo said that they expect these devices to be launched in the month of August. However, the analyst neglected to mention the iPad Mini 5, and his comments suggest that the tablet’s 9.7inch variant will become the standard size rule for the 7.9inch tablet.
Therefore, the 10.5inch and the 12.9inch models could be the smaller iPad Pro and the rumoured iPad Pro 2. Both of these tablets have been anticipated to run on the A10X processor. The alleged iPad Mini 5 might get a size alteration and move to a larger 9.7inch form factor, but it remains to be seen.
According to the latest rumors, the iPad Mini 5 could be renamed the iPad Pro Mini, and it could come with the older A9 or A9X chip. It is further expected that Apple will the iPad Mini 5/iPad Mini Pro with a Retina Display, running with 3GB of RAM.
The latest speculations suggest that an Apple Pencil Stylus can accompany the device in case the company modifies the Mini to the iPad Mini Pro.
However, the storage capacities of the earlier iPad Mini 4 and iPad Mini 2 have been increased by Apple back in September. Therefore, it seems like the company is looking for some changes in the next-generation model.
