Now, there are similar talks about the iPad Mini and the MacBook Air, with some users claiming that one of the devices has to go if Apple want to be able to properly focus their effort where it matters.
It’s true that the MacBook Air has stolen some crowds away from tablet users with its recent designs, and the notebook is actually getting closer and closer to the tablet form factor.
But still, there is a definite purpose of the iPad Mini in Apple’s lineup, and the company could potentially do even more to differentiate it from their other models, and turn it into a highly desired product. After all, if anyone can convince users that they need something, it’s Apple.
The company has arguably lost its creative edge to some extent recently, and their newest products haven’t been as innovative as some of their fans wanted. Some claim that this is just a temporary phase, as the company is preparing something spectacular behind the scenes, but they need time to present it. Of course, it’s easy to make such claims.
Whether or not that’s true, it’s definitely noticeable that they have been putting less effort into making their devices stand out lately. If the iPad Mini 5 continues that trend, this could cost Apple some of their users in the long run. After all, many people originally joined the company’s fan crowds exactly because of all the constant innovation and the unique style they had.
