When the American updated its iPad mini line with the iPad mini 3 released last year, the mini tablet was only given a modest upgrade. The home button was replaced with a Touch ID, and a new gold color option was introduced.
The modest upgrade taken on by the iPad mini 3 from its predecessor, the iPad mini 2, received negative feedbacks from critics, especially when compared to the major modifications taken on by the iPad Air 2 from its predecessor, the iPad Air.
That did not happen to the iPad mini 4 as the American tech giant made sure that it has learned its lesson from the past. The iPad mini 4’s processor is accompanied by the M8 motion co-processor, which monitor movements and helps with general power saving options.
While it is technically not the same as the one for the iPhone, some of the games and the apps on the compact tablet will definitely make use of the technology, though.
The performance enhancements made on the Apple iPad mini 4 also open new options for the camera of the device, which sports an 8-megapixel camera on the rear, similar to the one on the iPad Air 2. It also features a Burst mode and Slow motion for those looking for variety. And best of all, the picture quality is also the same as that of the iPad Air 2, making it really great for snapping images and capturing videos too.
