The decision of Apple to do away with the 3D Touch feature was not based on strategy but based on business sense. Kuo revealed that there are problems with the supply chain for 3D Touch components, which would make it logistically impossible for Apple to include the technology in its latest iPad Air line, notes Valuewalk.
However, it is likely that Apple will use the same technology on its future iPad releases or other product offerings especially when problems in the supply chain are already addressed in the future, according to the analyst.
Critics believe that Apple will most likely include compelling internal upgrades on the iPad Air 3 in order to ensure that it will bring about major updates over the iPad Air 2.
Reports have it indicate that the iPad Air 3 could be equipped with an A9X processor. The iPad Air 3 will reportedly feature an 8-megapixel rear camera as Apple apparently wants the upcoming tablet snapper to be at least as good as the one currently in the iPhone 6S.
One of the possible improvements that Apple could make with the iPad Air 3 is to offer more storage. Indeed, many critics and fans of the tablet have suggested that the existing 16GB set aside for storing information on the tablet is pretty lame.
Applications and operating system requirements are becoming increasingly demanding with the iPad range, and a base requirement of 32GB would seem to be a sensible shift when the iPad Air 3 releases.
