Apple iPad Air 3 Could Be Targeted for an Early 2016 Release, Rumors Indicate!

Apple have been changing their strategy for mobile devices lately, and the company seems more focused on this market than ever, with various developments on their front. Currently, their fans are waiting for the iPad Air 3 to come out, and while there is no shortage of rumors about the device, official information is pretty scarce and the situation is very unclear. The most recent rumors discuss the possibility of seeing the tablet sometime in March this year, and if that’s true, it could indicate a certain change of strategy for Apple.

Reports about the exact feature set of the device and other details around its release on the market are mixed, but we’ve seen several reports indicating that it will not feature the 3D touch technology that was introduced in recent iPhone models. Reception to this feature was mixed at best, as some people claimed that it could have some potential if it’s developed further, but it’s not very useful in its current state and Apple shouldn’t focus on it for the time being.

Of course, this is just a rumor and it could easily turn out to be false, but it does sound plausible that Apple might be reconsidering their choices with 3D touch. The technology did initially sound interesting and potentially very useful, but its actual release was a bit underwhelming and it might not have much of a future in another device by Apple.

Moving on with the rumors, the new iPad Air could also come with a nice, large screen with sharp colors and a large resolution. Its processor, the A9X, should also offer relatively good performance considering the intended main purpose of the device – to be as lightweight and portable as possible – so it should be a nice overall package with the potential to attract a large number of interested buyers.

It’s not like Apple have any shortage of fans waiting for their next release anyway, as the company knows its audience very well and they’ve been working hard to please those people. Admittedly, their developments can sometimes be a bit strange to their fans, but in the end people have come to accept that Apple have a very specific idea with their work and they are constantly moving forward in that direction. Sometimes that idea is not immediately clear, but things start to seem more reasonable as time goes by and Apple release more products.

On that note, people were a bit worried about the future of the iPad Air line, as the general direction of its development wasn’t entirely clear. At one point it started to look like Apple were actually abandoning their idea of making the devices extremely light and started to focus on their actual performance, and in the end there were even rumors that they would merge the line with another iPad model in order to get an easier grip on their developments and minimize the number of products they are covering right now.

It’s true that Apple seem to have expanded quite a bit in this regard lately and they have a pretty broad reach on the market – and according to some of their fans, this might not be an entirely too positive move for the company in the long run. Apple have traditionally focused on a small set of devices and developed them to the best of their potential, and now they might instead spread out a bit too thinly and find it more difficult to handle all of those devices correctly.
