Apple iPad Air 2 Remains Popular and Sought After, Company Goes Back to Court Versus Samsung!

Apple’s iPad Air 2 remains one of their most popular devices, and the company is still going strong with their presence on the market, despite some negative publicity that they’ve had to endure recently. The company was hit by a pretty serious security leak which was made public very fast, and ended up causing some damage to their reputation – but at the same time, Apple seem to be addressing the issue.

Several years ago, Apple made the news when they entered a lengthy court battle with Samsung over some patents, and while we haven’t heard anything from that story in a while, it looks like it’s far from over. Samsung are now apparently planning to appeal the ruling that was issued in 2012, in which Apple were awarded $548 million in damages.

According to reports, Samsung have applied for an “en banc rehearing”, where they want a full panel of 12 judges to examine the case anew. Apparently, Samsung weren’t satisfied with how the whole thing turned out – which is hardly surprising to anyone – and they don’t agree with the verdict that was handed down. Whether or not they are going to see any success this time, it’s hard to tell.

But it certainly looks like we’re about to hear the names of both Samsung and Apple in the news for a while yet again, as the two will probably engage in another somewhat lengthy court case. We have no idea how long this one is going to run for, but it does sound like Samsung are strongly determined to come out successful from all of this, so they will likely put up a serious fight.

Meanwhile, there have also been some positive mentions of Apple in the news recently. For example, their music service allows users to take up a free trial before signing up for it, and it was recently revealed that artists actually still get paid for users listening to their music during their free trials.

That could be a good incentive for artists to publish on the platform, as the music industry has been traditionally rough on the musicians themselves, who end up getting relatively little from the profits and have to work hard for their money.

For now though, we’re more curious to see what will come out of the court case between Samsung and Apple. It’s possible that things might not even go far in the first place, but it’s also possible that we’ll keep hearing about this case for a long time.
