It started out as a somewhat strange trend, but people quickly grew to like the idea of “retina” screens, and now they’re pretty much expecting this from every new Apple device. If the next iPad comes with a larger screen, not only in terms of dimensions but also resolution, this could definitely make the device the multimedia powerhouse some people seem to expect from it.
The mobile market is changing fast right now, and this is particularly true for tablets. Apple should definitely make a good release in 2017 if they want to stay relevant, as other companies have started to become more and more prominent in recent months.
Some of the rumors about the iPad 2017 claim that we’re going to hear an announcement about the device very soon, possibly even before the end of the year.
If that’s true, then we expect to see the device very early in 2017, probably around March. Apple might be wise to get a head start on this market as early as possible, looking at the way their competitors have been moving, and this includes the tablet’s marketing as well.
We fully expect that the next iPad will be able to practically market itself, more or less, but Apple could still benefit from being more aggressive in pushing it to their customers if they want to make sure that they will solidify their position on the market next year.
