Apple iOS Jailbreak Putting Users in Jeopardy Due to Malicious Tools!

One thing is certain right now though – this attack is likely going to change the landscape of the jailbreaking community and lead to some potential issues among users, especially related to trust and the legitimacy of the tools going around.

People are probably going to become quite more wary of the tools that they download for jailbreaking, and rightly so, as the risks are going to just keep growing. With the market share of Apple expanding in some markets around the world, it makes sense that attackers would put more effort into targeting them as well.

On the other hand, iOS 9 is rumored to come with some significant improvements to the protection of the operating system, giving users a lot more security and the ability to avoid certain types of attacks more efficiently.

This has been a controversial move in the community as people seem to want more freedom even if it comes at the expense of lowered security, and Apple have found themselves in a tough spot. They most likely aren’t going to lose users from making their OS more secure, but if another operating system – like Android – manages to prove that openness doesn’t have to equal insecurity, this will be a game changer. And with the arrival of integrated protection firmware on the chips themselves for some Android devices, the situation could indeed become quite interesting.
