Apple iOS 9 to Focus on Stability and Performance Instead of New Features!

As much as Google may have learned its lesson from its less than satisfactory Android 5.0 Lollipop experience, Apple has also picked up a neat learning from its problematic iOS 8 mobile operating system.

The American tech giant is reportedly using those learning in laying down the finishing touches on the iOS 9 which the company is planning to roll out soon to replace the buggy mess that is the iOS 8, reports The Times of India.

Instead of loading up new features and apps which happen to be part of its mistake in the iOS 8, Apple is said to be focusing more on the stability and performance of the new mobile operating system more than anything else.

Accordingly, the iOS 9 will have a huge focus on the bug fixes, stability improvements and performance boosts, according to sources within the Apple community. The company is also looking at trimming the memory size down because bugs and glitches occur when memory is already saturated and about to burst.

Latest rumors indicate that the iOS 9 will still have some new features, but the company shall be focusing first on stability and performance which are to be the latest mobile operating system’s key selling points.

Naturally, Apple mobile device users would be more than happy to have a stable and optimum performing mobile operating system than having too many new features that they really don’t have much use for anyway.

Problematic mobile operating system

Upon its release in September 2014, just a couple of weeks after the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus were officially unveiled, the Apple iOS 8 was proven to be a problematic system right from the get go.

While it did have tons of new and excellent features including the Apple Pay and the Control Center made through universal interface (UI), the company later on realized that these new elements have actually taken its toll on the mobile operating system, thus creating bugs, glitches and other issues.

As a result, Apple had to release the iOS 8.1.1 update that contains bug fixes and just weeks later, the iOS 8.1.2 update. But it seems that there are still problems that have yet to be addressed so the company released last month the iOS 8.1.3 update.

Still, despite the iOS 8.1.3 update, there are still many issues that have yet to be solved, prompting Apple to buckle down to work and start developing the iOS 9.

Apple iOS 8.1.3

As the company has learned its lesson from the iOS 8 experience, it is now making sure that the next iOS version is stable over adding major new features.

Apple has actually done it in the past with the OS X Snow Leopard update in 2009, which focused on stabilizing the OS X desktop and laptop platform more than incorporating new features.
