The News application is a popular one on the iPhone as it already has a very nice layout. The app is complex, but it does work for users that want to drill down to a specific subject, much like Google News and other applications. One thing that a reviewer found interesting as there is no way to know how the News app orders the stories. It is not by time and it does not seem to be in any other “real” order. It could be that the News is sorted based on other user interests.
The Notes app is going to get a nice bump as well. Users will be able to scribble, take photos and create lists of things they should not forget. Options are updated making the app much easier to use and more intuitive. Other than that, the Notes app is pretty straight forward. The Maps app is one that has been getting a lot of flack over the years and even though Apple Maps app is not Google Maps, the updates have been good to it.
The latest will be a nice upgrade and transit directions will be added to this version. Any time you search within the app, you will also be able to see what is “nearby” as well, which is a nice feature.
