Apple iOS 8.4.1 Jailbreak Remains the Only Option of People Displeased with iOS 9 Performance!

Now that Apple have released iOS 9, many people obviously wanted to jump in and try it out – however, the fun didn’t last long, as it turned out that the new operating system doesn’t run that smoothly on some older devices by the company. And on the other hand, jailbreaking tools aren’t completely finished for iOS 9 yet, so people don’t have many options when it comes to unlocking their devices and installing custom software.

Because of this, the most popular “solution” to the problem right now seems to be reverting back to iOS 8.4.1 and waiting until the new major version is polished and a proper jailbreak tool is released for it. It’s probably not worth waiting for any more “polish” to be added to it at this point though, as Apple have likely done everything they were planning to do with regards to performance improvements and aren’t going to make iOS 9 run any faster on older devices at this point.

Sure, the new OS does bring various improvements to the table and it adds even more features to the operating system, but it obviously wasn’t designed for some of the older devices in the company’s line-up. Which makes it strange that Apple released it for those devices in the first place, and while we have no idea why they decided to do that, it’s a fact that users will have to get used to at this point.

It’s worth remembering that Apple are far from the only ones doing this sort of thing – Google are also known to release versions of Android that haven’t been properly tested on their own devices – but at least with Android, users have better options for switching their operating system and getting another version that actually works properly on their devices.

Right now, there are some legitimate options for downgrading to iOS 8.4.1, but users should hurry up if they want to get it done in time – it’s possible that the loopholes might eventually be closed by Apple as the company is obviously trying to get everyone to move on to iOS 9 right now. This is a standard way for them to do things, and we wouldn’t be surprised if they tried to force iOS 9 on pretty much everyone down the road, including devices where it obviously doesn’t run well enough.

Some of the more skeptical critics of Apple are even claiming that the company is doing this on purpose – if they know full well that their updates aren’t compatible with their older devices but still push them out to those devices, this could indicate that Apple are trying to lock their users into an unusable device and force them to seek a replacement. However, the main problem with this theory is that it will likely drive users away from Apple more than anything else, as nobody in their right mind would be looking for another iOS device if they have to go through such a problem.

Apple iOS 8.3 Jailbreak

iOS 9 has been getting good reviews as a whole, and most are happy with the way the operating system has been improving over the time. However, the loss in performance on their older devices has been quite noticeable and the company should definitely do something to fix this situation, according to most critics. Otherwise people might lose faith in Apple in the future, and this will be a big problem for them as they are basing their business model on a niche following right now.

  1. Another problem is that iOS 8.4.1 isn’t easy to jailbreak, as the security patch for that version prevents jailbreaking, so if one wants to jailbreak it has to be an earlier version from iOS 8.4.1, or else just run iOS 8.4.1 stock.

    1. Not true. iOS 8.4.1 was jailbreaked few weeks ago, but it was not available to public. It was only shown on some hack conferrence or something like that by TaiG I think.
