Apple iOS 8.3 Jailbreak Tool TaiG 2.1.2 Now Available to the Public!

After some rumors have been going around for a while, it’s finally here – the newest version of the TaiG tool for jailbreaking iOS devices has been released, adding compatibility for iOS 8.3. There was some speculation about whether or not the team behind TaiG would actually manage to get their tool ready for iOS 8.3, but it appears that they’ve successfully broken through Apple’s protection and have been able to get into the core components of the OS.

At this point, the question of whether or not a user should upgrade to iOS 8.3 is pretty much nonexistent, as there is no reason for anyone to skip the upgrade now. Previously, those who were using a jailbroken version of the operating system were advised against upgrading to iOS 8.3 as that would preclude them from applying a jailbreak patch, but this isn’t the case anymore.

There are plenty of good reasons to go for the upgrade, on the other hand, as it significantly improves the performance of the operating system and makes it a smoother experience. There are also various bug fixes and of course, with a jailbroken OS, users can do a lot more than with the standard iOS. All of this makes it a very good idea to go for iOS 8.3.

And of course, there are various additional tweaks to the OS that have been applied to the jailbroken version that make it an even better idea to upgrade. Swipe Selection has been added, allowing users to swipe across their keyboard letters to complete whole phrases, and then there is Mobius which can restore the last app that was run by just swiping the screen to the right.

Users can also use CloseAll, a useful little tool that can allow them to close everything that’s currently running by holding the X button on an app window, and then responding with “yes” to the dialog box that comes up. And with a jailbroken iOS 8.3, users can now use the operating system with their Apple Watch devices as well, which should be a major plus to owners of Apple’s wearable device.

iOS-8.3

However, users who’re planning to upgrade to iOS 8.3 and get their devices jailbroken should hurry up and make up their minds as quickly as possible. With the release of iOS 8.4 right around the corner, the situation with the lack of jailbreak tools is just going to repeat all over again. This is a situation that keeps repeating as Apple keep releasing newer versions of iOS.
