Meanwhile, 9to5mac has cited the appearance of personalized music mixes within the Apple Music app. It was first shown during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2016 by Bozoma Saint John.
Apple Music subscribers on iOS 10 and also on macOS will soon be able to listen to the music playlists custom-tailored to their tastes and interests.
With the competition being posed by Spotify, Apple Music personalized playlists may just be the competitive push it needs to keep up with the competition.
The Apple iOS 10 and the macOS’ iTunes are showing two types of personalized music playlists under the For You in Apple Music and these are My New Music Mix and My Favorite Mix.
The first playlist contains a mix of songs that all seem to be garnered towards the user’s listening habits. The second playlist, on the other hand, contains songs that are certainly the user’s favorites.
It is possible that Apple is making some more tweaks and fine tuning on its Apple Music app. The change of name from Discovery Mix and the addition of a previously not seen playlist all seem to point that Apple Music is indeed willing to adjust to what the user and the subscriber desires, and getting personal is the way to go.
