For now, performance and UI seem to be the company’s biggest priorities. Security is still getting serious attention from them all the time of course, but we haven’t heard so much about any actual improvements in this regard recently.
We’re curious to see where iOS is going to go next, as the operating system can evolve in multiple different directions right now, looking at its competitors all over the market.
Apple are probably patiently waiting to see what others are going to do before they make their move, as the company is known for aligning their efforts in a way that gives them the best possible competitive edge.
The market as a whole has seen some interesting developments lately, and it’s probably not a bad idea for Apple to be a bit more patient right now, and see what everyone else is up to before they commit to any serious updates to iOS 10 at the moment, especially if they are planning any major changes.
Because of this, we wouldn’t be surprised if the company goes a bit silent over the next few months, but that definitely wouldn’t mean that nothing is going on behind their doors. Apple’s fans will just have to remember that the company is known for having the occasional slower period in their development. Once they make their next announcement though, we’re sure that there will be a lot of discussion about it all over the Internet.
