“Angry Birds Epic” is a great experience on Windows Phone as it is, according to most critics and players, but the game could still use some improvements specific to the platform to make it work even better and integrate it into the Xbox gaming community even more deeply. One of the things that players have been noting most often as criticism towards the game is the lack of proper Xbox Live integration, and there have been reports that the developers have been working hard behind the scenes to address this issue specifically.
Rovio haven’t yet announced any plans to update the game with Xbox Live integration officially, but there have been indications that this update is coming. XboxAchievements, a site dedicated to hunting down the achievements in each title on the platform, recently reported that there is actually a full list of achievements for the game in the Xbox database, complete with their own icons, descriptions and everything else.
Apparently the system is in development but isn’t quite ready to deploy yet, so players should keep an eye out for the official announcement by Rovio. Judging by the state of the achievements discovered by the community, it looks like at least the assets for the system have been completed yet, so at this point the company is probably working to get the system implemented in the game itself.
Meanwhile, “Angry Birds Epic” has been enjoying great popularity on Windows Phone, and it’s one of the more actively played games on the platform, despite the lack of proper Xbox Live integration. Windows players have already been busy submitting suggestions and reports about the game on discussion boards, and a lot of people have something to say about their ideas for its future development.
And of course, Rovio have been keeping an eye on all of those discussions as the studio has been giving indications that they are implementing community suggestions on a regular basis, even though they don’t officially confirm it.
Currently, Xbox Live integration is the one thing that players are requesting the most, so if Rovio really do direct their development according to current player requests, it’s very likely that this is what we’re going to see next.
When exactly it’s going to happen though, we don’t know, and it’s hard to tell right now because Rovio have been quiet about their release schedule for the game’s updates. Knowing the studio, it’s possible that an update is right around the corner and they will release it as a surprise.
