Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are Both Eager to Avoid a Court Case Amid their High-Profile Divorce Proceedings, And More

Angelina Jolie may have pulled the trigger on the issue that allowed the public in on the high-profile divorce between her and ex-husband Brad Pitt.

But now, she seems to have come to her senses that the last thing she wants is a high-profile court case because every document and findings that the FBI and the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) will come across with and generate during the investigations will potentially be made available to the public.

She seemed to have realized that such would be very bad for the entire family especially to their six children, none of whom are already above 18 years old.

Brad Pitt has spoken previously that he wanted the divorce proceedings to be as low key as possible in order to protect their six children.

However, since the FBI has already started the investigation on the allegations that Brad Pitt physically and verbally abused their 15-year-old son Maddox, he and Angelina Jolie have no choice but to go through the motion and fully cooperate with the ongoing probe.

Four-hour questioning

Angelina Jolie was questioned by the FBI for four long hours on October 27 over allegations that Brad Pitt have gotten verbally abusive and physical with their son Maddox while onboard the family’s private plane.

The 52-year-old actor was allegedly under the influence of alcohol during that September 14 flight. The incident on the plane was what prompted the 41-year-old Angelina Jolie to file for divorce with Brad Pitt days later, reports the New Zealand Herald.

The FBI got involved in the alleged incident because they have jurisdiction over the issue since it happened on mid-air.

An insider said that the FBI will likely investigate for another few weeks. After that, they will present the case to the prosecutor, who will evaluate whether there would be a need to bring charges.

What seems certain at this point in time as a result of the initial investigation is that Maddox suffered no injuries. Some witnesses on the jet say Brad’s contact with the boy was inadvertent.

Tired of being portrayed as the bad guy

There are reports saying that Angelina Jolie is tired of being portrayed as the bad guy in the high-profile divorce with Brad Pitt. She is reportedly now ready to reveal all the dirty secrets about their marriage.

A source close to the actress said that all that Angie has done is try and protect her kids, adding that the actress feels she’s been made out to be the bad guy in the whole thing and it is not right.

The insider added that Angelina Jolie is going to expose everything about what Brad Pitt did during their marriage, reports the Inquisitr.

However, this rumor may be a bit off the mark if Angelina Jolie wanted to avoid a court case and protect her children. Because going on a bashing spree on Brad Pitt would certainly affect her kids, more than the actor.

Meanwhile, there are now reports claiming that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have already started splitting their assets and are selling their Chateau Miraval vineyard in France.

A source revealed that the home has been valued and is going on the market any day now.

Apart from the expansive estate, the couple also produced an award winning wine from the vineyard.

From the latest soundings, it appears that Brad Pitt might be trying to resolve the divorce outside of the courts, which would mean that details would remain a private affair.

Brad Pitt’s hesitation on the divorce and custody arrangement actually led to some speculations that he and Angelina Jolie might work things out.

Apparently, Pitt’s six children are constantly asking about him, which has Jolie second guessing the divorce. Even with that being said, Jolie is not about to call off the divorce just yet and it would take a lot for her to reconcile.

Angelina Jolie filed for divorce last month. She has not come clean about why she filed, though rumors indicate that Brad Pitt’s drug issues and child abuse may have been behind the split.
