Season 6 of the Canadian police drama TV series “Rookie Blue” will certainly be high on emotions when it premieres on ABC on June 25 as series protagonist and rookie cop Andy McNally, played by Missy Peregrym, is faced with a relationship-altering and life-changing decision to make to start the very popular show with a bang.
“Rookie Blue” has already premiered in Canada on May 21 so they are ahead by a month or about four episodes from the US televiewers.
In the latest teaser trailer of the upcoming sixth season of “Rookie Blue,” Detective Sam Swarek, played by Ben Bass, admits to Andy that his ex-girlfriend Detective Marlo Cruz, played by Rachael Ancheril, is pregnant by him, while they were onboard a patrol car.
Andy was devastated by the news that she wanted to just think things through and does not want to hear any further explanation from Sam.
It was a shocking pregnancy news that got the fans of the “Rookie Blue” already excited to see the premiere episode and the succeeding ones after that and see how the relationship between the two unfolds whether it will continue or finally come to an abrupt end.
The trailer also showed that Marlo uttering to Sam that she is pregnant and Sam eventually owning up to it which had fans of the Sam-Andy relationship reeling from the dramatic shift in developments, reports the Latin Post.

Season 6 of the “Rookie Blue” will also focus on Officer Nick Collin, played by Peter Mooney, and his new relationship with Officer Juliette Ward, played by Erin Karpluk amid the ongoing Ted McDonald bomb plot. Nick was also fresh from breaking up with Andy.
It has been reported that Juliette will have a meatier role in the upcoming sixth season and she shall bring plenty of drama and make life more challenging for Nick. Fans and viewers of the top rating TV show on ABC really did not see this relationship coming so there would be plenty to milk on as far as storylines and subplots for the show are concerned.
Season 6 will also see Dov Epstein, played by Gregory Smith, making an unexpected friend, Gail Peck, played by Charlotte Sullivan, entertaining the thought and embracing the idea of being a full-time mother, and a rehabilitated Chris Diaz, played by Travis Mine, already back in the force but is still not out of danger because of his sordid past.

It was actually actor Gregory Smith who disclosed that “Rookie Blue” Season 6 was airing ahead in Canada than in the US last month.
In his tweet on May 21, he said that he was excited for the season premiere of “Rookie Blue” that night in Canada but he said that he would not be able to be part of it since he was in LA at that time.
