Andy Bonds with Girlfriend of Ex-Lover in Episode 3 of ‘Rookie Blue’ Season 6

The problem with having the Canadian police drama TV series “Rookie Blue” airing in its home country a month ahead of the US, where the show has generated good following, is that the Canadians already know what is happening while the Americans are still eagerly anticipating the premiere of Season 6 of the show.

“Rookie Blue” will be airing on ABC network on June 25 yet but up north in Canada, the show is about to air its third episode this week after it premiered on May 21.

And Canada is just a neighbor of the US so whatever the Canadians are watching, chances are, the Americans can also see it too and vice versa. So when the show premieres on June 25 in the US, most of its American televiewers may already know what to expect given all the spoilers from near the north border or from the internet, which sucks the element of suspense and excitement from the show.

By this time, loyal fans and viewers of the show already know that the premiere of Season 6 of “Rookie Blue” would have lead protagonist police officer Andy McNally, played by Missy Peregrym, devastated by the personal revelation of his boyfriend Detective Sam Swarek, played by Ben Bass, that he got his ex-girlfriend police officer Marlo Cruz pregnant just before they split.

Unintentional bonding

Fast forward to episode 3 where Andy gets into a rather awkward position as she unintentionally joins forces with Juliette Ward, played by Erik Karpluk, to contain a riot in the female prison facility.

Given her state of mind after Sam’s discloser, Andy still needed a distraction and the partnership with Juliette is still a welcome relief for her.

Juliette is dating police officer Nick Collins, played by Peter Mooney, who was also the ex-boyfriend of Andy back in the past seasons.

Despite the sticky situation, the two had some sort of bonding through a deeply personal conversation which resulted to Juliette spilling out a big lie, which prompts Andy to tell her that she should break up with Nick, details the Latin Post.

Season 6 will also see Dov Epstein, played by Gregory Smith, making an unexpected friend, Gail Peck, played by Charlotte Sullivan, entertaining the thought and embracing the idea of being a full-time mother, and a rehabilitated Chris Diaz, played by Travis Mine, already back in the force but is still not out of danger because of his sordid past.

It was actually actor Gregory Smith who disclosed that “Rookie Blue” Season 6 was airing ahead in Canada than in the US last month.
