Most of the smartphones by Motorola will receive the update, but there is no fixed release date for it. However, Moto Z-Droid and Moto Z-Droid Force has already received the update over-the-air (OTA). Among the Huawei and LG, OnePlus will also receive its updates in the first half of 2017. OnePlus 3 will receive the update and a new launch of the company; OnePlus 3T will be released next week with the Nougat in-built.
OnePlus One and OnePlus X will not be receiving the updates due to the unsupportive graphic features. OnePlus hopes to keep its new smartphones upgraded for as long as it is possible as opposed to its other two releases.
With the new update, devices running on Android will have access to various features like multi-tasking and split screen, but it will not have access to the features like Pixel launcher and Google Assistant, which are exclusively made for Google Pixel.
The Daydream mode will be available to devices like ZTE Axon, Moto Z-Droid, and Moto Z-Droid Force. With the presence of this feature, the phone will be completely compatible with a VR Headset.
The release of the update is also dependent on when the individual carriers decide to let the updates go out to their variants of Galaxy S6, which might be around the same time as the other brands.
The new update will also help the user save battery on the move which means that it will go into the power saving mode even if it is in your pocket when it reaches the limit.
