Still, Motorola has its share of casualties including the 2014 Moto X, the 2014 and 2015 versions of the Moto E, and the original Moto X and the Moto G. Among those HTC smartphones which shall receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow are the One M9, the One M8, the One M9+, the One E8, the One M8 EYE, the Butterfly 3, the Desire 826, the Desire 820, and the Desire 816.
It’s major casualty is the HTC One M7, the company’s 2013 flagship smartphone, which according to HTC vice president for product management Mo Versi falls outside its lifecycle’s window for update.
