Andrew Lincoln recently admitted that he doesn’t actually watch “The Walking Dead” himself, despite being one of the main s tars on the show – a revelation that stunned most fans of the production, while it also came as no surprise to others. And it seems that the actor is actually quite serious about this stance, as he left the stage during the showing of a clip from the show, only saying “Enjoy the clip” before he walked off.
This is apparently not news to people close to him, as there were a few jokes thrown around about the situation – Steven remarked that Andrew Lincoln had stolen his water, after the actor walked off with a water bottle in hand.
The clip that was being shown specifically was a scene between Andrew and Steven, or rather their respective characters Rick Grimes and Glenn Rhee, as welel as Abraham Ford, represented by Michael Cudlitz. Reception of the clip was universally positive, even though Lincoln himself refused to watch it. This isn’t the first known case of a celebrity avoiding their own work, and the reasons could be varied, but it’s often attributed to a fear of the external view interfering with their own ability to perform in that specific production.
Later on during the event, Andrew Lincoln had to excuse himself from the presentation two more times, as his performance was being shown again in various clips from the current season. It seems that the actor has a particular adversity to clips showing his own acting, although he has been avoiding clips related to the show in general. It’s not known if he still watches materials from the production set in order to improve his own work, and it would be surprising if he completely refrains from watching the show, although as we said above, he wouldn’t be the first famous actor to work that way.
Meanwhile, Glenn and Sasha have appeared on a new promotional image for the upcoming return of the TV show, in which they can be seen holding assault rifles back to back in a wooded environment. The new seasons is expected to bring a lot of action and emotions, as the recent death of Beth is still fresh in the plot and will likely still have various effects on the story’s development in the upcoming episodes. It’s not known exactly how it could affect the different characters, although the producers have made it clear that this is going to be a major event for multiple reasons, and not all of them have apparently been played out yet. With that in mind, many fans have been on edge about the upcoming episodes.
