‘American Horror Story’ Season 5 to Feature Return of Lily Rabe as the Most Infamous Female Murderer of All Time

Lily Rabe will do something that veteran actress Jessica Lange will not be able to do in the horror anthology series “American Horror Story.” She will come back for the fifth season of the popular TV series which will return to the FX network beginning on October 7.

This means that Rabe will be in all five seasons of the “American Horror Story,” whereas Jessica Lange was only good for four seasons, after the veteran actress decided not to renew her contract for the fifth season of the TV show at the conclusion of Season 4.

Rabe will be coming back as a guest on the “American Horror Story” officially titled “Hotel” where she will be taking on the role of Aileen Wuornos, regarded by many as the most infamous female murderer of all time, notes Hollywood Life.

As if Lady Gaga playing the role of villain in Season 5 of the horror anthology series is not enough, 33-year-old Rabe will join the fray as a female serial killer, which makes the “American Horror Story: Hotel” not only creepy but also amazing, casting-wise.

Halloween episode

Showrunner Ryan Murphy confirmed the show’s amazing casting for Season 5 when he said that the Halloween episode of “American Horror Story: Hotel” is officially titled “Devil’s Night,” and he will also be the one who shall direct it.

Murphy said that he decided to helm the episode because he liked the script so much that he does not want to give it to anybody else. He also confirmed that it is the episode where Lily Rabe will be featured as a guest.

The show’s co-creator said that he does not want to give away too many details about the Halloween episode of the horror anthology series but hinted that Lily Rabe as Aileen Wuornos will be at the centerpiece of it and that he assured fans that it is going to be really fun and bizarre. Murphy also said that he won’t blame fans of the series if they suddenly freak out upon watching the episode.

Aileen Wuornos was notorious for killing seven of her clients while working as a prostitute. She claimed to have committed the murders in self-defense, but she was ultimately convicted for six of the killings. She was subsequently sentenced to death and died from lethal injection in 2002 at the age of 46.

Star-studded

In addition to Lady Gaga and Lily Rabe, it has already been confirmed that model Naomi Campbell will also have a guesting stint on the “American Horror Story: Hotel,” just to indicate how amazing the show’s casting is for its upcoming fifth season, cites Melty.

These stars will be joining the familiar “American Horror Story” stars like Angela Bassett, Wes Bentley, Sarah Paulson, among others.

It has been confirmed that pop singer Lady Gaga will be debuting in the series. Despite her inclination, however, there will be no musical number in the upcoming horror anthology series, much to the delight of the critics.

Lady Gaga is not the first music celebrity to be a guest star in “American Horror Story.” During Season 4, music icons David Bowie, Nirvana, and Fiona Apple also guested in the series. They did render some songs during their respective guesting stints, but fans were not impressed because their music, while obviously good, did not really add anything to intensify the excitement of the episodes where they were featured.

Having learned their lesson from the past season, the producers will cast Lady Gaga but this time she would not be doing her music but will go with what the script says.

American Horror Story Hotel

Speaking of the script, the singer recently took to Instagram by posting a lipstick-tainted writer’s draft of the “American Horror Story: Hotel” script.

Lady Gaga captioned the post as a horrible lipstick accident and saying that she was doing a bit of monster homework.
