The Amazing Spider Man 3 has seen its fair share of troubles since it was announced that the third movie was going to be made. Since the second movie in the series, made by Sony Pictures, failed to gain any sort of buzz, excitement or following from the original, it is obvious that Sony does not know what they are doing. The third movie is a not a surprise to most of us out in movie watching land, but sources say that if Sony makes it, where are they going to go with it.
According to reports that were posted online this week, the movie release date was pushed out to 2018. That date is a while away and there is a lot that can happen between now and then, but there is one thing that is for sure, the movie will be made. In the day when comics were read all the time by children, Spider Man was a favorite of many and when Tobey Macguire appeared in the original movie series, the first two were knocked out of the park. By the time the third one was in theaters many were wondering what they just saw.
The movie was a big letdown. When The Amazing Spider Man series opened, there was no blame on the fans that wondered what the producers had in store for fans all over the world. The first movie was a huge hit. The critics liked it and that is not an easy thing to get accomplished. That cannot be said about the second movie in the series, however. As a result of the poor reviews of the second, the fate of the third is hanging out there as Sony makes some decisions.
There is a chance that the Amazing Spider Man 3 will be taken over by Marvel Cinematic Universe, but as of right now that is just speculation. Many think if that is the case, the movie might be better off, but other sources are reporting that if the movie goes to Marvel the main character is gone. That will pose another problem for the movie series and one that is not easy to fix.
Most people that watch the superhero movies these days do not mind seeing three or even four movies in a series, as long as they are done well. Once source thinks that if the movie series cannot go the right direction, that Sony should take it to Netflix and sell it as an ongoing series. That might be the only way to save the Spider Man series at this point.
