Alleged Leak of HTC One M9 Shows a Phone That Lives Up to Expectations!

The HTC One M9 is a special device. It’s the successor to the M8, a phone that’s still considered to be one of the most powerful offers on the Android market, even today – so HTC have a lot to live up to when they claim to be releasing an upgrade to that. And still, the company seems to be handling the development of the M9 quite successfully, as every time a new rumor about it comes out, it speaks about great specifications and a lot of attention to detail by HTC.

While details about the device remain foggy and most fans aren’t sure exactly what they’re going to get once it’s announced, it still has quite a lot of people closely following the rumor mill and actively waiting for HTC to make the big revelation. HTC have managed to establish a very solid following for themselves on the Android market, and people value their products not just for their specifications, but also their physical design and feeling.

So far, it’s expected that the company will reveal the phone at MWC 2015, along with a surprise, a wearable device that will accompany it. It’s not that strange to expect HTC to join the smartwatch market, after all, and a device like that could be the perfect addition to the M9’s capabilities.

Leaks about the device point towards some impressive specifications, including an 8-core Snapdragon 810 running at 2 GHz, as well as a dedicated GPU, 3 GB of RAM, and Cat 6 LTE connectivity. The device will also retain the form factor of the M8 almost flawlessly, and won’t add too much to its size, although nothing has been said about the weight by any of the more prominent rumor sources yet.

HTC have also reportedly upgraded the device’s battery in order to not only match the needs of its more powerful hardware, but even exceed them to some extent, as it’s been reported that the HTC One M9 has a significantly better battery life than its predecessor, especially when combined with improvements in Android.

On that note, the phone is expected to ship with Android Lollipop, and actually it would be a bit disappointing to see anything else at this point, considering this is a flagship phone coming out in 2015. It’s not known how the post-release support for the operating system is going to be like, but HTC have generally never failed their customers in this regard, and it’s expected that those who buy the phone will get to enjoy new Android releases for a long time. Especially given the impressive specifications of the phone, which mean that it should be able to easily handle all new Android versions for a while.
