Alien 5 Might Be in Trouble, According to Recent Statements by Ridley Scott, More Information!

He seems well aware of the potential of the two films for clashing though, so if he doesn’t kill off “Alien 5”, we expect that he will “repurpose” the film in a certain way in order to make it more suitable for releasing alongside his new “Alien: Paradise Lost” once it’s ready.

The fact that both films share the same name doesn’t have to preclude them from coming out together, of course – they could easily show different sides of the story, and from what Ridley Scott has been saying so far, that might actually be the case.

If would be interesting to see how “Alien 5” could look at the franchise from a different angle compared to “Alien: Paradise Lost”, but in the end the “Alien” franchise is quite expansive with a lot that’s still unexplored.

There is a lot of potential for both directors to do something great with the storyline and come up with even more additions to an already good plot, and they are both very capable of delivering something like that. We’re going to find out in a year or two how the franchise is going to move forward, but hopefully we’ll be hearing about the “Alien” films for quite a long time in the future from now on. As we said above, they have a lot of potential and there are plenty of reasons to continue working on new entries.

  1. Ridley Scott is producing Blomkamp’s Alien film — I thought this was common knowledge ??

Neil Blomkamp is a terrible director, anyway. And if his Alien project *were* to be scrapped it may save the franchise further embarrassment.
