Currently, “Prometheus 2” is scheduled to come out next year, on March 2 2016. On the other hand, we don’t know what’s planned for “Alien 5”, as the film isn’t even that far ahead in its production at the moment.
Its screenplay and plot are yet to be set in stone, but according to the most prominent rumors, 20th Century Fox are looking to get it out at 2017. Hopefully they aren’t going to delay its production too long, as many people are curious to see how the franchise is going to be revived.
And rightfully so – this is one of the most iconic names in the history of cinema, and the fact that the director behind it is going to go back to the roots of the franchise and try to undo the “damage” that was done by more recent releases should definitely be taken well by fans.
Many people have a lot of trust in both Neill Blomkamp and Ridley Scott to do their jobs right, and there is a lot of attention on both of their productions right now as well. Over the next few months, we should start getting some additional details about both films, possibly even on the official front and not just in the form of rumors.
