Alien 5 and Two more Alien Films in the Works to the Delight of All Fans!

Fans of the original “Alien” films have a lot to look forward to right now, as three separate new productions are currently in the works that are going to feature the iconic creatures in one way or another. These are namely “Alien 5”, “Prometheus 2”, and the reboot for “Predator”, which has been hinted to also feature the creatures.

Recently, Neill Blomkamp talked about the upcoming “Alien 5” in an interview, making a promise to his fans that the film isn’t going to overlap with “Prometheus 2” in any way that steals its thunder. The two films are going to be quite separate and independent, and Blomkamp has specifically been coordinating with Ridley Scott to make sure that they both deliver something unique and memorable to their fans.

Which means that those who enjoy the famous creature are going to get to see it in several different lights, and presented through the eyes of different directors. It would definitely be interesting to see how Scott and Blomkamp handle their own respective productions, while at the same time they are likely going to merge their ideas on certain points, which will make them both even more interesting to watch together.

It’s been known for a while that Blomkamp is looking to make a throwback to the original films in the “Alien” franchise, going as far as to say that “the first two films are the ones that I care about”, and he has even joked that his own film could be called “Alien 3 (no, really)”. However, at the same time, he did not actually reveal the title for the new film, leaving fans to wonder what it’s going to be called.

He did specify that he’s already submitted his idea for the film’s title to Ridley Scott, and claimed that the idea is “quite bold”, but Scott apparently liked it. However, Blomkamp isn’t convinced that his idea is actually going to be successful, which is why he apparently wants to test it first before actually going with it. He also didn’t want to reveal the title at all, claiming that it would spoil too much about the film’s plot if he actually did that.

Meanwhile, we’ve gotten a little insight into Blomkamp’s specific reasons to go with “Alien 5” for his next project, coming from his wife Terri Tatchell. According to her, Blomkamp has been very nervous about working on the new film, and she has been trying to insert some humor into their conversations, reminding him that he has been obsessed with the xenomorphs and he should have some interesting ideas about them at this point.

We’re going to see Ridley Scott directing “Prometheus 2” with screenplay by Michael Green and Jack Paglen, while Noomi Rapace and Michael Fassbender are going to get back into their original roles. The new film is going to feature the main characters going back to the homeworld of the creators of the alien species and humanity itself.

We’ve also heard some rumors that Sigourney Weaver is going to be joining the cast for both “Prometheus 2” and “Alien 5”, but we don’t know if either of those are true. For what it’s worth, it’s more likely that we’re going to see her in “Alien 5” according to most fans and critics, but we’re going to have to wait a little until we learn the truth. Many fans seem like they would be excited to see her in any of the new films though.
