Bristish fashionista Alexa Chung is very upset upon personally seeing the romance between Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence during the 21st birthday celebration of Harry Styles on February 1.
Alexa says that she feels totally thrown off by the relationship of the two since she and the Coldplay frontman dated momentarily after he split with wife of 10 years Gwyneth Paltrow in March 2014, details Yahoo! News.
The British fashionista understandably felt bad since she came out as Chris Martin’s momentary rebound girl in the picture because less than three months later, the musician was already dating Jennifer Lawrence and she was out entirely of his life.
The fact that Gwyneth Paltrow, who said that her parting with Chris Martin was a conscious and mutual uncoupling on both their parts, also gave approval of her ex-husband’s relationship to “The Hunger Games” actress did not sit well with Chung too because she came out just like a blip in the life of the musician.
Surprised and upset
A source told a British magazine that Alexa had not seen Chris Martin since they dated last year. So she got the surprise of her life when he suddenly walked in to the party holding hands with Jennifer Lawrence. She felt upset all of a sudden that she tried to avoid the pair all night.
Alexa was even quoted to have told her friends that she really finds it difficult seeing Chris with another woman.
It also did not help that Chris and Jennifer were having a love-fest during the party, combined with some flirtations and lots of PDAs. Despite her attempt to be inconspicuous, she can’t help but notice what the two were doing during the party and she felt really sick to the stomach.
Taking her chance
Chris and Jennifer were all over each other during the party that left Alexa Chung feel even more hurt, without the two really realizing it, a source close to the British fashionista revealed.
When Jennifer moved around to talk to other friends in the party, Alexa decided to take her chance and said hello to Chris Martin. While the musician acknowledge her with a perfunctory greeting of his own, she told her friends later that she really felt awkward doing it.
While Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have yet to formally acknowledge their relationship in public, it appears that they no longer need words or an announcement to make their relationship official.
After all, they need not be worried of anybody else since Gwyneth Paltrow already gave her nod to their relationship by saying that Chris would not hook up with Jennifer if she’s not worth the woman he wants. And the only person who seems to be not in favor of the relationship is Alexa Chung, but who would rather kept the opinion to herself and her close friends rather than make it public.
