Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 2, Episode 11 Explores New Parts of Marvel Universe, Takes Show in the Right Direction!

After the new episode of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” aired, both critics and fans have been pointing out that the show is now moving more and more towards exploring the unknown part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe presented in the series, something which has been good news to pretty much everyone. In the beginning, there was some skepticism towards the show and its whole basic premise, but as time went by and the producers solidified their ideas, the series managed to attract more viewers and established a very good following for itself.

And right now, according to most fans, it’s going in the exact direction that it should have taken right from the start. Better late than never though – and it looks like “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” could have incredible potential for its future episodes if the current trends continue.

Skye’s mother made an appearance in the new episode, in which it was revealed that she has been helping young Inhumans after “the change”, Terragenesis. Afterwards, it’s also revealed that Gordon, the one who has no eyes on his face, is now apparently playing the role filled by Jiaying previously.

It was also strongly implied that Skye is going to face issues dealing with her transformation, and those issues could very likely echo all throughout the remaining episodes of the season. It’s clear that there is a lot of potential to explore in this part of the plot, but it’s not known exactly how much attention the producers are planning to give it at this moment.

Meanwhile, as Simmons is getting ready to flood the tunnels of the ancient city, we see Raina stirring up some trouble, and it’s obvious that the producers want to pay special attention to her character and show how much she has changed, instead of keeping her in the dark like they could have done. According to Skye, Raina has some problems, but she is leaning in the wrong direction in trying to guess what those problems are, attributing them more to her appearance.

Some fans have been trying to guess who Raina was originally, looking for a link to her in the comic books, but that seems to be difficult right now, as the only possible connection that’s come up is Raina of the Saurid race, which ties in to the X-Men side of the plot, but it’s still not clear if that’s actually the same character. We will learn more about her in the coming episodes, most likely, and the show’s producers definitely seem to be hiding something about her that they want to reveal when the time is right.
