Now that we know that “Agent Carter” is coming back for another season, fans have of course been actively speculating about what they might see in the new episodes of the show. It’s a production with a lot of potential, and its characters can be expanded significantly from their current state, so many people have been hopeful that we’re going to see some more unusual developments in the new episodes.
We’ve recently learned who the new villain in season 2 will be, and fans of the original Marvel comics will surely find the name familiar – Madame Masque will be joining the cast as the main antagonist opposing Peggy Carter, and she might end up causing quite the trouble for our character. She’s apparently getting sent back to the 1940s for the plot of the new season, and considering how interesting her character was in the comic books, we expect some peculiar stories involving her in season 2.
The way Madame Masque will be presented in “Agent Carter” won’t exactly match her appearance in the comic books, from what we’ve been able to tell, as there will be some unique touches to her character to bring her more in line with the current trend of the show’s style. We don’t know what exactly this could mean for the character, but many fans have high hopes that she will be a dramatic, interesting villain who will bring a lot to the story.

Fans have indeed been hopeful that the show would introduce a little more humor into its setup, and this is a great way to spice things up and get everyone even more excited about her character.
The show has had a very successful run so far, even though there was initially some skepticism aimed at it, stemming mostly from its premise. Some fans of the comic books found it too unlikely that the producers of the show will translate the books to the screen in an appropriate way, and apparently not everyone was convinced that the production will be successful.
