Although the UK may have been a bit late on joining the “Agent Carter” bandwagon, the TV series has proven to be a noteworthy investment for Fox UK. Accordingly, an average of 900,000 viewers watches the TV series on a weekly basis, hoping to catch Captain America’s former lover in action.
“Agent Carter” was a rating success for Fox UK with a million people staying glued to their TV sets to follow the adventures of the feisty and fearless heroine in Peggy Carter.
Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reported that the second season of “Agent Carter” is now in production and this was confirmed when Marvel Entertainment shared a first look at the set of the TV series on September 17 by posting photos on social media.
Accordingly, there will be a new boss come Season 2 following the death of Roger Dooley, played by Shea Whigham. It is likely to be Jack Thompson, played by Chad Michael Murray, and he will take over SSR New York, which also means that Daniel Sousa, played by Enver Gjokaj will become the new head honcho in Los Angeles.
Although Thompson has taken over SSR New York, he will still not be the head of the whole agency, confirms executive producer Michele Fazekas.
The series has moved to the West Coast for Season 2 and Sousa will be filling the role of ‘Chief’ when “Agent Carter” returns early next year.
