It’s not just Kim Kardashian who just had her dyed platinum blonde. Apparently actor-musician Jared Leto also did the same and uncharacteristically, he also showed it at the Balmain show of the Paris Fashion Week on March 5, the same event where Kim paraded her new do.
After breaking the hearts of millions of his fans for losing her man-bun and precious locks, not to mention doing away with his beard, Jared Leto did not just cut his hair short, he actually dyed it blonde, notes Yahoo! Celebrity.
The color of his cut hair was still black when “Suicide Squad” Director David Ayer posted the clean-cut image of Jared Leto on his Twitter account on March 2 even though the photo was in black and white. So it is most likely that Leto had it dyed blonde either on March 3 or 4.
Jared Leto decided to cut his hair in preparation for playing the role of Joker in the upcoming DC movie “Suicide Squad.”
But Leto bleaching his short hair thereafter could be a precursor to the actor-musician eventually dying it green, which is the color of the Joker’s hair in Batman comic-books and also in some Batman movies.
The outspoken actor-musician has yet to make any statement with the new color of his short hair on social media but instead posted on his Twitter account on March 5 that the boots he wore at the Balmain show in the Paris Fashion Week were nice and toasty. He also mentioned that he is still defrosting his boots which he apparently bought from Toronto, Canada.
A blockbuster in the making
“Suicide Squad” has all the makings of a true blockbuster so it was kind of easy for Jared Leto to decide on his makeover and be ready to take on the meaty part of the Joker in the movie.
Due for release to theaters on August 5, 2016, in addition to Leto playing the Joker, “Suicide Squad” also stars Will Smith as Dead Shot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
Based on DC Comics, “Suicide Squad” is a task force of supervillains that were imprisoned by the government upon apprehension of course by the DC superheroes.
A secret government agency headed by Amanda Waller formed the task force to initiate a black ops mission in exchange for clemency.
Acting and singing combined
With his new looks, people are actually reminded now of Jared Leto when he got his first recognition while playing the role of Jordan Catalano on the TV series “My So-Called Life” back in 1994.
He has had 22 film credits to his name starting with the movie “How to Make an American Quilt” back in 1995 until the “Dallas Buyers Club” in 2013 acting as a transgender where he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for it in 2014.
He only had 22 movies in the last 20 years because he is very selective with his films so the “Suicide Squad must really be good to be considered by the actor.
Jared is also the lead vocalist of the Thirty Seconds to Mars, a band he formed in 1998 with his older brother Shannon. Their debut album titled “30 Seconds to Mars” was released in 2002 and got positive reviews but only limited success. But it was the band’s second album titled “A Beautiful Lie” released in 2005 that carried the band to worldwide stardom.
