Adam Lambert Says He Would not be Where He is Now if Not for the Great Run of ‘American Idol’

Adam Lambert is among those millions who were surprised and dismayed to know that the reality talent search TV show “American Idol” will be formally ending with its Season 15.

Many fans of the show believed that “American Idol” is actually the only show on TV that discovered legitimate and talented real deal superstars, Adam Lambert being one of them.

Some also averred that other reality talent search TV shows that came after “American Idol” was just there for the sake of joining the bandwagon and ratings. Sadly, according to them, most of these shows do not discover true-blue music artists the way that “American Idol” had over its past 14 seasons on Fox.

Still, since TV show is a business, everyone has to accept the fact that it has to end sooner or later and it is just unfortunate for “American Idol” that it had to come after its Season 15

Great run

But Adam Lambert only had praises for the show that discovered him and turned him into a music superstar that he is now.

Adam Lambert is a runner-up in 2008 during the “American Idol’s” Season 8. One year later, he released his debut studio album titled “For Your Entertainment” and he has since been enjoying superstardom since then.

Lambert says that “American Idol” had a great run. He also thanked the show because he said that he would not be in his present stature if not for the show.

In addition to Lambert, “American Idol” has paved the way for the credible music careers of more than a handful of singers, which are now enjoying fame and popularity, not to mention fortune too, notes Billboard.

Upcoming single and album

Nearly three years after releasing his last music, Adam Lambert is now back in the music scene with a new single.

The musician has actually been teasing the release of his new single titled “Ghost Town” through social media and he finally unveiled it on April 21.

“Ghost Town” is to be part of Lambert’s latest album to be called as “The Original High” which is due to be released on June 15.

The new single focuses around a catchy whistle hook, while going between soft verses and a deep house chorus.

Fans in the US of Adam Lambert shall be able to get a copy of the digital track of “Ghost Town” if they pre-order “The Original High” album on iTunes. But the digital version of the single shall be released in the UK on June 7 yet.

Lambert describes his new album as dance-y but bittersweet. He also disclosed that the lyrics to most of the songs in his new album are a little darker compared to cuts in his previous albums.
