Now, rumors are swirling around that Adam Lambert and Queen may, in fact, become the next headliners for the 2016 Glastonbury Festival, whose tickets were already sold out as of early last month.
When recently asked for confirmation about the rumors, Lambert said that he was not actually aware of it, but he would really love the band to headline the Worthy Farm bash, which others call as the best festival in the world.
The “American Idol” alum said that he does not care actually about the rumors because it was the first time that he heard of it. But if the organizers invited him and the Queen, they would really perform.
So far, what has been confirmed for the Pyramid stage of Glastonbury in 2016 are the participation of Coldplay, Adele, and Foo Fighters.
There are also reports that the Blur and AC/DC are likely to join in. In addition to Queen, there are also other rock bands that have made it to the rumor mill as headlining the 2016 Glastonbury Festival including the stadium rockers, Muse.
Having Adam Lambert and the Queen at the gig would surely give fans another reason to get excited about the festival and they are hoping that the organizers push the invite soon to the group.
Early this year, Brian May said that they would have wanted to perform at the 2015 Glastonbury Festival but Adam Lambert’s schedule was too hectic and that prevented them from topping the bill of this year’s event.
