Adam Lambert Goes on a Break; ‘Ghost Town’ Singer to Resume Concert Tours in September and on TV in October!

“American Idol” alum Adam Lambert is currently on a break from his concert tours both as a solo artist and as the front act performer of the iconic rock band Queen.

He is scheduled to return to his gigs in September which gives him a little over a month of hiatus from his hectic year-round schedule.

The break also gives Lambert the opportunity to focus on the promotion of the upcoming TV show, the “Rocky Horror Picture Show” on Fox, where he plays the role of Eddie in the classic, notes Just Jared.

Fox has just announced that the TV series will make its debut on October 20 and Lambert announced it on his Twitter handle. He also asked his followers and fans to mark their calendars and be prepared to watch the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.”

The “Ghost Town” singer was also spotted on July 22 making his way out of the Bootsy Bellows nightclub in West Hollywood California where he showed off his painted toe nails in a pair of gladiator style platform sandals.

Learning to sing by watching Adam Lambert

Singaporean singer-songwriter Sufi Rashid won the Malaysian reality TV competition “Akademi Fantasia” last year.

The victory set him up for his first ever ticketed performance at the Esplanade’s Pesta Raya festival next month.

In an interview on how he learned to sing that well, the 25-year-old Rashid said that he planned to have professional vocal lessons initially but they were quite an expensive investment. So he had to improvise and he just did by watching the performances of singers including Adam Lambert, reports the Straits Times.

Rashid has all praises for the vocal command of Adam Lambert. The Singaporean crooner eventually signed a three-year contract with Malaysian broadcaster Astro after winning “Akademi Fantasia” last year. Now under the Warner Music label, he is working on his upcoming album, due to be released in Singapore and Malaysia at the end of this year.

A self-produced music video

Pop superstar Adam Lambert is one frank individual so much so that he can actually talk and share about his feelings and emotions to almost everybody including his millions of fans around the world.

On July 6, the “American Idol” alum gave everyone a glimpse of some of the challenges he had to go through as a person with the launching of his raw and self-produced music video for his single “Welcome to the Show.”

The video also features Swedish singer-songwriter Laleh and focuses on close shots of the “Ghost Town” singer’s face and chest, with some of those images showing him wearing a shirt.

Lambert talked about his inspiration behind the song in an open letter that accompanied the video. He also explained why he wanted to produce the track himself.

The “For Your Entertainment” singer said that he also came to a point in his life when he felt terrified of facing his true, whole self that is stripped of any pretense. He added that he is no stranger to the feeling of not liking himself after factoring in the good, the bad, the cracks, and the scars in his life.

He also said that he once struggled with his body image and also had to deal with the problems of being trapped by labels or identities.

Lambert cited that living in a world filled with so much hatred makes cultivating self-love a very difficult task. He admitted that he always struggled with it as much as many people have.

He encouraged his fans and other people to take their flaws in stride, nurture their talents, take pride in their respective queerness, and share all the love they have.
