She went on to talk how television is focusing its attention on powerful roles for women. Abigail Spencer considered herself lucky enough to land a role as Suzanne Farrell in Mad Men. She is now playing Amantha Holden, a very strong character on Rectify.
While talking to executive editor Joseph Kapsch, on the second day of the media leadership conference at Montage in Beverly Hills, Abigail Spencer talked about her career in both television and films. After reading numerous scripts, all of which did not appeal to her, she was finally offered the role of Amantha Holden in Rectify.
According to her, she is one of the most powerful characters to be seen in recent times on television. Amantha fights for her brother. Her brother, Daniel is wrongly imprisoned, and she sets out to prove his innocence. Rectify starts with the viewers learning that there is DNA evidence to show that Daniel wasn’t the only one at the crime scene.
Abigail Spencer is a well-known actress. She has appeared in popular films like Oz the Great and Powerful, Cowboys and Aliens and This Means War. Spencer has been drawing a lot of attention, but not solely for her roles on television.
Nude photos of celebrities like Rihanna, Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lawrence, Amber Heard, Gabrielle Union, Meagan Good and soccer star Hope Solo has been leaked online by a hacker. Abigail Spencer is now included in that list.
The notorious hacker has leaked innumerable legitimate private photos of female celebrities using iCloud. Actresses like Jennifer Lawrence and Kaley Cuoco witnessed their leaked photos all over the internet in the first wave. The “Fappening” as the media termed it, also saw inappropriate videos of Abigail Spencer spreading like wild-fire on the internet.
While some refused to accept the authenticity of the photos, others reported violation of personal space, and Abigail Spencer has decided to keep quiet and let the hype die down.
Abigail Spencer has created quite a mark for herself in the television industry. She has a large fan following. Topping the list of fans would be Josh Sapan, the AMC Network President. Sapan had personally gone up to her and had gushed about being a huge fan of Amantha Holden in Rectify. Abigail Spencer was pleasantly surprised to have her boss come and tell her that he was a huge fan.
