Abigail Spencer Admits She Has Her Own TV Show Marathons!

Every true TV show fan has been there – you occasionally run across a show that’s so good, you just can’t stop watching. Episodes turn into hours and into an entire season or two consumed in a day, and it feels great – as long as it’s done in moderation, of course. “Binge watching” is becoming a very common phenomenon, and nowadays it’d probably be hard to find many people who haven’t done it at least once.

And it’s not indicative of an unproductive life in any way – for example, even celebrities sometimes succumb to this guilty pleasure, such as Abigail Spencer who recently admitted that she is a binge watcher herself. The star also talked about “Rectify” and her role on it, as well as the various difficulties the crew had to go while filming the show.

Abigail Spencer also gave some insight into the most difficult episode that she’s had to shoot, and she explained why fans need a brain and a heart to truly appreciate it. All in all, we got some pretty interesting information from the interview with the actress, and fans of “Rectify” should find it a particularly interesting read.

According to Spencer, the most difficult scene she’s had to film was in episode 4, when Amantha spends the whole day binge eating and smoking a couple dozen cigarettes. Spencer revealed that she actually felt the struggles of the character at that time, and was able to associate with her on a deeper level than she anticipated.

On the other hand, working on the production has had its fair share of funny moments as well. In episode 7, Amantha gets stoned, and that episode was apparently very fun to produce from start to finish. Amantha spends some time trying to get candy out of a machine, and the scene with Teddy Jr. and Amantha being playful with him was also reportedly a joy to film.

She then went on about her own viewing habits when she finds a production that she enjoys, and she admitted that she finds it difficult to resist watching a series all the way when she finds the story interesting. According to her, there have been instances where she has felt compelled to watch a story through to the end, and she’s definitely a binge watcher herself.

And there’s nothing wrong with that, as long as she’s able to balance it with the rest of her life. From what we’re seeing so far, she definitely seems to have a good idea about that. For what it’s worth, she’s a pretty positive example to her fans.
