Some have even argued that the controversy around the show has been the main reason for its extended survival, and that the producers should be thankful to Abby Lee Miller for bringing so much attention on them.
That’s probably a bit of a harsh statement as it’s clear that the show still has a lot of fans on its own, but it does offer some food for thought at the same time. Would we be talking about “Dance Moms” so much if it hadn’t been for this incident, or would it be just another mediocre show in its category?
It’s probably safe to assume that Abby Lee Miller won’t have problems finding work afterwards though, as her current reputation has pretty much guaranteed that she will always have a place in the media as a reality celebrity who’s gone through a serious struggle.
If she’s smart about this, she could probably build quite the nice career for herself in the next years on top of what’s happened. But first, she would have to clean up her legal situation, and it doesn’t look like things are going to be easy for her in any way in this regard.
Hopefully her legal team will be able to figure out a good defense by the time the court hearing date rolls around, but it looks like it’s going to be a complicated job for everyone involved in defending her in this situation. We’ll find out in a few months for sure.
