A Complete Wishlist for Watch Dogs 2, What We Can Expect From Future Titles?

As of yet, Watchdogs has shipped more than 9 million copies worldwide. The entire proceeds are under wraps as game companies are reluctant to share such information. However, the huge success of this game makes it evident that gamers can anticipate Watchdogs 2 and Watchdogs 3.  However, if Ubisoft makes any more titles for the Watchdogs franchise, gamers can rightly expect some new features.

In Watchdogs 2, the developers need to provide an insight about the core story behind this franchise. I know this might sound rude or potentially a useless brainstorming exercise. However, you cannot deny that even when you have played the game completely, plus the DLCs, it still doesn’t seem to have a powerful core identity.

Most gamers consider Watchdogs to be imperfect but quite comparable to that of the first title in the Assassins Creed series. Just like it was a perfect blueprint for a breathtaking Assassins Creed 2, we can expect the same from Watchdogs as well. However, Assassins Creed was well-defined from the start.

It stuck to its genre where the protagonist makes use of stealth tactics to kill his targets uses parkour techniques to move around the ancient cities. On the other hand, we have Watchdogs where the protagonist drives like he’s in a Driver title, climbs and sneaks around like Assassins Creed. At the same time, he makes use of an arsenal of weapons, not unlike the one we saw with Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell franchise. As a result, we are not sure as to what the game is all about.

In Watchdogs 2, gamers should be right to expect more ways to go about with their hacking. Watchdogs is a hacking game. Hence, gamers should be provided many more things to hack. For example, let us hack other cars on the highway, people’s pacemakers and implants among others.

The game could also have a future-setting with tons of new features and gadgets to be hacked. With the upcoming titles, we should expect more consequences. What is the use of hacking people’s cellphones, if all we get to do is read their messages?

Watchdogs 2

Gamers are hoping that Aiden Pearce will probably not return in Watchdogs 2. This is good news as now we can expect a new protagonist who is driven by motivation rather than just revenge. Ubisoft should try making a character that is completely different from what we’ve seen so far in the Assassins Creed and Far Cry titles. The lesser the number of clichés, the better it will be.
