New Update for NBA 2K15 Is Out with More All-Star Content, New Locker Codes with Free VC

Players of “NBA 2K15” can now download an update that will let them take a peek at the all new All Star game content, as the new patch also modifies the equipment worn by players. In a screenshot from the update, LeBron James and Kevin Durants can be seen sporting All Stars jerseys, with Durant wearing a West Side jersey, and James an East Side one, while both players are at Madison Square Garden in NYC. All in all, it seems like players are about to be treated to some neat new content for the game.

Earlier in January, the developers of the game confirmed the NBA All Stars that will be featured in the game, and the list includes LeBron James, Kyle Lowry, John Wall, Pau Gasol and Carmelo Anthony. In addition, Al Horford, Chris Bosh and more will be in the reserves. Initial reports were talking about a far smaller player rooster, so it’s good to see that the content featured in the update will actually be significantly greater than was initially stated.

There are also new locker codes for the game, offering free VC points to those who get them fast enough. VC points are a critical currency for players who want to progress faster in their campaigns, but they’re not that trivial to obtain – in fact, some players have reported hitting a wall in their acquisition of VC, which has prompted the developers to release more locker codes for the title, and release them more frequently as well.

Currently, players can type “PARKSWAG” as a code, which will give them 500 VC points. On the other hand, “IWATCHEDNBA2KTV” will award 1000 VC points, and “HEYGUYS” or “MYSTERY” will produce various random in-game items as rewards. Players can also use the official ABA Ball in their matches by typing “PAYRESPECT”, a nice easter egg hidden by the developers.

In the end though, getting VC works best through regular achievements and progressing in the campaign, which can produce rewards as great as 20,000 VC points in some cases. In some cases where the player has come to a situation where their team needs more points in order to progress though, these locker codes can definitely come in handy. It’s certainly good to see that developers aren’t completely abandoning the idea of traditional cheat codes, something which was becoming a more and more popular trend in gaming lately, with more publishers omitting those codes in favor of paid DLC and other similar tricks. “NBA 2K15” gives its players plenty of opportunities to unlock its contents with cheat codes (as opposed to regular playing) for those who feel inclined to do so.
