Apple Performing Great on the Smartphone Market, Apple iPhone 6 Dominates US Market Over Last Few Months!

Apple have never had an issue with popularity on the smartphone market, and ever since they decided to enter it, they’ve been performing very well. Even though the company hit a few bumps along the road, they still have a large following of fans who’re eagerly waiting for their next announcement and release. And from the looks of it, the iPhone 6 has been continuing that trend nicely. The device has been enjoying a great performance on the US market over the last few months, and has practically dominated the charts for the last quarter of 2014.

According to recent reports, iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus sales combined have accounted for roughly 50% of smartphone sales in the US for the last few months, making Apple not only the biggest player in this field at the moment, but also giving them a lead over one of their major competitors, Samsung, by about half of their market share. That’s no small feat either, as people were once thinking of Apple as a company with a very weak potential in this field, and didn’t put much trust in them growing so much.

Other companies’ share of the market during this period included LG with 11%, Motorola with 4%, and HTC with 2%. Apple have been seeing an increase in their sales in the last few months of 2014, which should be obvious to anyone following the company’s releases, since they had just recently put the iPhone 6 on the market. The device, despite being criticized for some for the lack of innovation in its overall design, still managed to get relatively good reviews, and was received well by customers who bought it all over the world.

It’s still early in the year, but many people are already wondering about Apple’s next release. Is the iPhone 7 going to be more innovative than the iPhone 6, or is it just going to continue the recent trend of Apple relying on their loyal fanbase for success? And if they choose the latter option, how long can they keep this strategy up for before it stops being viable?

Apple have certainly made a big name for themselves on the smartphone market, but they can just as easily lose that position if they stop paying attention to what their customers truly want. Some have been claiming that the company has lost its vision recently, and while that may or may not be true, they’re still showing a lot of progress in their other departments. So in the end, the development of the iPhone line may just need a little extra push in order to start bringing true innovations again.
