Jerry Brown Plans For His Last Term As Governor!

Jerry Brown is a Democrat from California and has been in public office in one way or another for more than 40 years of his life. He became the 49th Governor of California back in 2011 and that was not the first time that he served as Governor of that state. Jerry Brown was also the 34th Governor back in 1975 to 1983. Jerry Brown is also no stranger to running for the President of the United States, since he has run for the Democratic nomination on three different occasions.

Now that Jerry Brown is 76 years old, he is planning on his final term as the Governor in California, according to sources. Jerry Brown cruised through the re-election process last fall and celebrated his last campaign rally in the small city that helped launch his political comeback. That small city is Williams, California and is exactly where August Schuckman landed after emigrating from Germany. During that rally, Jerry Brown explained that “it’s really important that we know where we came from if we want to figure out where we’re going”, according to sources.

August Schuckman was the first of Jerry Brown’s ancestors to make it to the west coast following the gold rush and he has mentioned him or his family on more than one occasion throughout his re-election campaign. In the Governor’s office, there are plenty of reminders as to who the Schuckman family is as the walls are lined with portraits of them. Schuckman’s daughter and son, which is Jerry Brown’s father, Pat. Jerry Brown even has the first campaign posters that his father used to run for county prosecutor back in 1939, which was also the year after Jerry was born.

Jerry Brown is no stranger to what is expected as the Governor of the state, but a lot has changed since 1975. Back then he had to manage a $9 billion budget, but just last month Jerry Brown manages a $113 billion budget. California, probably more than any other state, has changed the most dramatically since 1975.

Jerry Brown is going to keep things flowing for the last term, just as he had for the terms before this one. He said that he does not believe that there is room for another tax hike, even though voters had no problem with on back in 2012 that he proposed. Many believe that Jerry Brown is in legacy mode. He has to fight against any ballot measure that might take away from his legacy as Governor. In order to do that, he might have to implement some measures of his own.
