British actor Benedict Cumberbatch will be tying the knot soon with girlfriend theater director Sophie Hunter following reports that the “Sherlock” actor has already sent e-mail invitations to friends and family members about their upcoming wedding.
Sophie is currently pregnant with their first baby and the couple wants to wed before the baby is born so their window for tying the knot is within the next couple of months, reports Yahoo! News.
Perhaps out of the excitement to announce to close friends and family members about their upcoming wedding, Benedict already sent e-mail invites.
It was not clear what was the content of the e-mail or what are the specifics of the supposed wedding like where it will be held or when would it be held.
Sources close to friends of the couple who have reportedly received the invitations said that the “Imitation Game” actor decided to use the e-mail in sending out the wedding invitations instead of the usual printed paper process because apparently time is of utmost importance.
This means that the wedding would not just be happening within the next few months because it could be within the next few weeks.
The couple have yet to make an official announcement to either confirm or deny reports that Benedict has already sent out e-mail invites to their wedding.
Planning the perfect day
Sources close to the couple said that Benedict and Sophie are planning their wedding to be a perfect day for the two of them and their invited guests. They are guaranteeing to their friends and family members that their wedding would really be amazing.
It is for that reason that they want everything kept under wraps for now. While several guests close to the couple already know where their wedding will be held as well as when will it be held, they are requested to keep it secret.
In November 2014, Benedict announced his engagement to Sophie after the two of them dated for a year. They have since lived together in Venice Beach in Los Angeles. In December, Sophie revealed that she is pregnant, sending Benedict and his family to frenzy.
Immediately after announcing their engagement, the media relayed to the actor, who is reportedly being considered to play the role of Marvel superhero “Doctor Strange,” that fans were already awaiting for the coming of the ‘Cumber-baby.”
Benedict replied with delight by saying that his mother was not just waiting for one but for many ‘Cumber-babies.’
Apart from a busy filming schedule this 2015, Benedict is also nominated as Best Actor in the upcoming Academy Award for his superb acting work in the critically-acclaimed movie “Imitation Game.”
He will also be busy with the filming for the Season 4 of “Sherlock,” a British television crime drama series.
