American rapper and DJ Diplo, Thomas Wesley Pentz in real life, says that he holds some key secrets of Taylor Swift but is worried of letting it all out in the open as the 40 million fans of the “Shake It Off” singer might do something against him.
It’s either the DJ was riding on the immense popularity of Taylor Swift to promote himself or he’s favoring his ex-girlfriend Katy Perry on the supposed feud between the two high-profile pop stars.
Diplo hinted about Taylor Swift’s alleged secrets in a recent interview for the February 2015 issue of GQ magazine. The interview and the article on the DJ was part of the magazine’s issue because GQ also published the list of 19 Musicians that Matter, reports the Huffington Post.
It was not the first time that Diplo mentioned something against Taylor Swift, which had many of the singer’s fans wondering what the beef of the DJ is against the “1989” singer.
In November last year, Diplo also said something about Taylor’s booty that drew flak from Swifties, the legitimate and solid fans of the singer, and also from her best friend Lorde who gave the DJ a verbal dressing down.
Second time around
Taylor Swift never bothered to give comment or answer the diss of Diplo back in November and the story simply died a natural death.
Now, it seems that the American DJ and rapper wants second servings and thought of expanding his concoction, or at least that’s how it looks like to many of Taylor Swift’s fans, to say that he knows the singer’s shady secrets and that he is also scared and fears for his life if he says it in public.
Diplo wants to make it appear like Taylor Swift is from an underworld gang or something but it is very clear that he is riding on the continued rise to popularity of the singer. Taylor’s rise to fame continued following the successful launching of her fifth studio album in October 27, 2014 which was lording over the Billboard’s album chart until it was finally dislodged this week by the latest album of Meghan Trainor.
Foolhardy
It is also foolhardy for Diplo to say that he is receiving threats from many of the 40 million fans of Taylor Swift worldwide because of the alleged secrets he is keeping against the singer.
The Swifties can surely discern if an artist or an upstart artist is trying to ride the coattails of the success of their idol by their mere statement or actuation.
If Diplo was really scared for his life about revealing the so-called shady secrets of Taylor Swift, then why reveal that there was a secret in the first place? Obviously, he is just being an artist again and he wants to add a touch of creativity to promote himself by making one of the most popular pop stars today look bad.
